BE INTERNATIONAL! Applications in English
Seminar mit Dr. Helen Adkins

Residency? Grant? Competition? Stipend? Fellowship? Exhibition?
As an artist, sending documentation on your practice to a foreign country is quite different from local or national applications. Not only do you have to write in English, it is essential to outline your career clearly and attractively! You must think about how to present your CV, how to describe your project, how to formulate your statement, or how to pre-word your recommendation. If you have an exhibition outside of Germany, you will be asked to talk about your artistic practice but may also need to communicate technical details concerning the handling and installation of your work. The questions will be different from those you are used to “at home”.
The course is held in English and addresses an audience reaching out to act internationally. We will talk about the issues connected with the description of your artistic practice through YOUR specific queries and interests. The aim is to professionalize your presence on an international platform.
