Crash Course: Sketchup
Workshop mit Diego Orlandi
Beschreibung • Description
Sketchup is a very intuitive and useful 3D-modelling tool for visual artists. Its most unique attribute is its simplicity, as it can easily also run on outdated or low-performance computers and virtually anything can be modelled out of it. Of course, a powerful computer will grant even more modelling capacity. In this course you can learn useful tips and shortcuts first-hand from a docent who has used this software for multiple purposes - from abstract geometries to infrastructural engineering.
For example:
- Preparation of installation room for future exhibitions
- 3d-printing
- Animated walk-throughs
- Concept geometries
This software can be especially crucial when working under deadline for making very fast conceptual models, but also for in-depth detail or very large models, thanks to low usage of computer memory. Additional plugins or software can be applied when carrying out rendering and post-production work in order to achieve the best visual quality output.
You can download the trial version of SketchUp-software here. Please note the trial-version lasts 30 days from installation date
Please have a laptop / computer and a mouse with a cogwheel (Maus mit Rad) ready, and the software already installed and running.
The course will be carried out in English by a bilingual German speaker, Diego Orlandi.
