Beschreibung • Description

A portfolio is a key tool for presenting your artistic practice, both in analogue and digital contexts. But how do you translate your work into a clear, coherent, and contemporary format?

In this 6-hour workshop, we will explore the structure, organisation, and presentation of an artistic portfolio. We will look at which content is relevant, how to select and arrange works effectively, and how to create a compelling visual narrative.

What role do websites, PDF portfolios, or Instagram play today? How do portfolios differ depending on context (e.g. applications, residencies, open calls)? And how can your artistic position be communicated clearly in online environments?

Working with examples brought by participants, we will analyse existing portfolios and develop concrete strategies for further development. The aim is to find a presentation format that reflects your artistic practice while responding to the requirements of different professional contexts.

Please bring your own portfolio (analogue or digital), even if it is still in progress or an older version.

Ihre Daten unterliegen sämtlich dem Datenschutz und werden entpersonalisiert zur Erfüllung der Evaluierungs- und Berichtspflichten an die dafür zuständige ESF-Verwaltung weitergeleitet.

This bildungswerk offer is funded by the European Union and the state of Berlin as part of the European Social Fund (ESF). These subsidies are the basis for low participation fees and for the lecturers' fees. For this reason, each participant must provide some personal details, employment status and level of education before the start of the event and consent to the processing of the data. A multiple-choice test is also carried out to evaluate the further education offer. All of your data is subject to data protection and will be forwarded to the responsible ESF administration in a depersonalized format to fulfil the evaluation and reporting obligations.
