Most artists are taught how to make work, not how to build a resilient financial ecosystem around it. This workshop focuses on the side of practice that is the artist as an entrepreneur: someone with multiple income streams, clear financial strategy, and the confidence to navigate opportunities beyond traditional market routes.
Through case studies, diverse ideas, exercises and strategic planning, you’ll explore how contemporary artists are earning sustainably in 2026, combining sales, commissions, teaching, digital offerings, partnerships and more. You’ll learn how to identify revenue paths that align with your practice, how to price and package offers, and how to structure your time and practice to avoid burnout. This course is practical, empowering and expansive, ideal for artists who want to stabilise their income, gain financial clarity, and build a creative career that doesn’t rely solely on luck or galleries.

Dieses Angebot des bildungswerks wird mit Mitteln der Europäischen Union und des Landes Berlin im Rahmen des Europäischen Sozialfonds (ESF) gefördert. Diese Zuschüsse sind die Basis für niedrige Teilnahmegebühren und für die Dozent*innenhonorare. Ihre Daten unterliegen sämtlich dem Datenschutz und werden entpersonalisiert zur Erfüllung der Evaluierungs- und Berichtspflichten an die dafür zuständige ESF-Verwaltung weitergeleitet.

This bildungswerk offer is funded by the European Union and the state of Berlin as part of the European Social Fund (ESF). These subsidies are the basis for low participation fees and for the lecturers' fees. For this reason, each participant must provide some personal details, employment status and level of education before the start of the event and consent to the processing of the data. A multiple-choice test is also carried out to evaluate the further education offer.
