Creating an e-book in e-pub format in InDesign

An overview of digital formats, distribution channels, with practical examples

The introduction and spread of digital technologies in the field of publishing has fundamentally changed its operating conditions. Not only does the creative and technical production require new skills, but new audiences have also emerged; the spaces and structures in which publications are visible and may be found follow different rules.

Publishing - in whatever medium - is an important social instrument for creating a new public space. Keeping this in mind, we also look at the production of our publications from the point of view of communicative purpose.

In the workshop we will look at the different areas of digital publishing and create a simple e-book in e-pub format in InDesign.

Basic knowledge of InDesign is necessary.
