bildungswerk des bbk berlin

The bildungswerk is a non-profit subsidiary of the bbk berlin (professional association of visual artists in Berlin). It provides a comprehensive qualification programme and advisory service that is unique in Berlin and beyond. Each year up to 1,000 visual artists living in Berlin benefit from the bbk berlin’s bildungswerk. Membership of bbk berlin is not required. We recommend subscribing to the newsletter as well as visiting our website.

Funding

The programs offered by bildungswerk are funded by the European Union and the State of Berlin as part of the European Social Fund (ESF+)  and with grants from the budget of the State of Berlin.

    The Speaker’s Circle of the Berlin Coalition of the Independent Arts criticizes the attack on Senator for Culture Joe Chialo in the strongest terms possible. We distance ourselves explicitly from every form of violence and intimidation. Democracy means dialogue, even in cases of differing views.

    The professional journal kunststadt/stadtkunst is published annually by the Office for Art in Public Space (Büro für Kunst im öffentlichen Raum im kulturwerk des bbk berlin). It provides information on the latest developments in art in public spaces in Berlin and ensures transparency with regard to state commissions for art in public spaces in the state of Berlin and its districts.
