Prof. Dr. Frieder Schnock
Frieder Schnock studied art and art history at the Akademie der bildenden Künste Karlsruhe / TU Karlsruhe (I+II. Staatsexamen) / FU Berlin and Braunschweig University of Art where he received his PhD in art history (Land Art). He also worked as art educator, graphic designer, art advisor, gallery director (Gesellschaft für Blickschulung / Loft 44/45), art critic and as curator for private foundations and public exhibition spaces (such as the Museum Fridericianum in Kassel). Frieder Schnock is a former Rockefeller Fellow; he has been teaching visual studies at Beuth University of Applied Sciences in Berlin and at Leuphana University in Lüneburg for many years. Prof. Dr. Frieder Schnock, together with Prof. Renata Stih, is a frequent lecturer at numerous colleges and universities in the United States. Public art projects are realized in cooperation with Renata Stih.
