Lillian Morrissey

Lillian Morrissey (b. 1986, Australia) is a textile and mixed media artist, arts educator, curator and artist community manager based between Berlin and Sydney (Gadigal), with a background in both International Politics (USYD, 2009) and Fine Arts (NAS, 2015). Alongside her solo artistic practice, Lillian Morrissey maintains a socially engaged practice grounded in community organising, shaped by a commitment to artist solidarity and mutual support. Since 2012, she has co-founded and directed three non-profit artist-run studio communities in Sydney and Berlin, including currently Angular Studios in Lichtenberg which serves 28 artists, curates group exhibitions and events, and regularly teaches workshops.
