Chiara Zampetti

Chiara Zampetti studied History of Art at the University of Florence, Italy and at the Courtauld Institute of Art, London. After an MA in arts policy and management at Birkbeck College, she continued her studies at Royal Holloway College, where her research focused on the role of the art dealer. She worked in London as a provenance researcher, in a Mayfair gallery and as a consultant for private and corporate collectors. She has written extensively on the international art market for leading publications such as The Art Newspaper, Art in America, Artsy, Artnet, Vogue and Il Sole 24 Ore. She is the author of a book on the modern and contemporary art market "Guida al Mercato dell'arte moderna e contemporanea (Skira)" and is section editor of Bloombsbury Art Markets (Bloomsbury). Since 2023, she also acts as the creative director of Fabriano Contemporanea, a contemporary art Biennal, in Fabriano, a UNESCO creative city in Italy.
