Sarah Sole (Ferguson)
Sarah Sole (Ferguson) is a visual artist, born and raised in New Orleans, LA. As an undergraduate, she studied Fine Art and Mathematics and then earned a PhD in Mathematics. Upon leaving an academic career, she earned an MFA in Fine Arts from the School of Visual Arts in New York City. She is a recipient of a 2005 Fellowship from the New York Foundation for the Arts, a 2006 Full Fellowship from the Vermont Studio Center and a 2008 Alumni Scholarship Award from the School of Visual Arts. Her work has shown in galleries and art fairs in New Orleans, Houston, Miami and New York City. She is best known for her ‘Hillary’ work comprising paintings, collages, writings and video over an eight year period of sustained interest in all things visual within the Hillary imaginary. In 2017, after a residency at the kunstort ELEVEN artspace in Starzach, Germany, she moved to Berlin.
